In Mexican wrestling, there are colossi who test their strength on stage as a representation of the eternal battle between good and evil, while the heels are left to play the role of the villains. They are the ones who, as we say in Mexico, “add spice to the broth” with the sparkling adrenaline they send coursing through the veins of the audience, who, curiously, often sympathize with them, hoping they’ll beat the hell out of the “good guys” in the technical group. In this work, the artist masterfully captures the gaze and the entire attitude of the “bad guys,” ready to do anything to put on the great show that has captivated children and adults around the world.
